TLDR
Fundraising Radio podcast and Substack now will be focused on sales for early stage startups in the US, not fundraising. The name of the publication will change soon too.
Currently I’m a part of the team building an app that will utilize DALL-E2 AI to allow users to create AI-drawn images right from their keyboard.
The next 3-6 posts will cover my efforts of promoting the D2C app mentioned above. As of the moment, it’s a side project we are testing but it has a good chance of survival.
Focus will be on staying lean, running small tests and pivoting the sales strategy as fast as humanly possible based on the test results along with the performance of the app.
You can become a Beta-tester of the new app here.
My posts will have TLDRs now to save you time and avoid posts that aren’t relevant to what you’re working on.
Changing subject of the Substack and Fundraising Radio.
I am reshaping Fundraising Radio along with this Substack into a sales-centered channel. For the past 6+ years one way or another I was working in sales basically non-stop and I love it. My sales experience is exactly why a lot of my fundraising strategies are based on proven sales methods adapted for the needs of a fundraising campaign and not based on some vague “your network is your net worth” bullshit.
After running my podcast about fundraising for over 3 years non-stop, studying private equity for good 7 years of my life and working as a fundraising advisor for a few years, I got a bit tired. Finance aspect of the fundraising process doesn’t excite me nearly as much as it used to, meanwhile the sales aspect of it is still fascinating even though I’ve been a salesman for nearly 7 years as well.
Many of you have been following my work for quite some time now and I really appreciate your continuous support. For people who have recently joined, all of my content is made for early stage startup founders. That means that I always make an assumption that you have ~$100-300 for any given experiment/channel, therefore I create all my strategies to be very lean.
What to expect on this Substack now?
Now you can expect similar type of content as you’ve seen before on this Substack but focused more on sales and actionable items that don’t require much preparation time. We’ll stay lean and we’ll stay hungry for finding new ways in which you can push your company forward.
Currently, my brother and our GPT Keyboard team are in the midst of creating an app that will allow users to create AI-drawn images right from your keyboard. I have a high degree of confidence in this product since the AI field is once again hyped up for a large chunk of population and the existing solutions for in-chat custom images are basically non-existent. Having that said, I’ll be helping our team in this venture as a salesperson.
Do I have experience in D2C sales? Absolutely not, but I have technical skills and a really fun product to sell so there is roughly a 0% chance that I won’t partake in this.
Ah and by the way, here is the demo of the App:
This app presents a great opportunity to showcase some of my sales tactics and approaches on a real-life use case instead of keeping it theoretical. Therefore, the posts on this Substack in the following month or two will be detailed strategies that I will use to test the viability of the app that is currently being developed and pushed to Appstore. I’ll share the reasoning behind the strategies I test and most importantly, I’ll share tools I use and the final results of all the tests I’ll run so you can see first-hand how I run short-term testing campaigns and make decisions on the next campaigns based on the data obtained.
First test is already live and in the next post I’ll explain how I used Postaga to get a hold of writers covering the subject of my interest (DALL-E2 AI) to see if they want to cover a use case of this technology in the form of an app that we are working on.
Even if the app we’re working on will fail like 4 other enterprises we’ve launched 4 years ago, there is a 100% chance that it’ll be a fun journey. In the past 4 years we all learned A LOT so this project most certainly has a better shot at life so hop on and share this publication with fellow founders and leave any comments regarding what you’d like to see in the future posts!
We are opening up our Beta to all of Fundraising Radio users (more than 4k of you here!) so if you want to participate in our journey instead of just reading about it, drop your email below!
Current Beta is for apple users only but Android version is lagging behind only by a few days so you can still enroll.
